Power Plant
In the new world the demand for electricity is increasing rapidly from the house hold uses to large industries. So it became necessary to produce electricity in large amount and in most economical manner. This bulk production could be achieved by means of large power producing units called ‘Power Plants’. We have to consider two aspects while designing a power plant. The first one is the selection of equipments for power plants, it should be in such a way that the equipments chose should produce maximum power for minimum input. Here output is the electricity and input is the fuel. The fuel may be coal, diesel, nuclear material etc. Based on this power plants are classified as thermal power plant, hydro electric power plant, nuclear power plant etc. The equipments should also have a longer life span. The second aspect in designing is that the plant should be able to give stable, uninterrupted power supply for longer periods. The necessary parts of a generating station consist of prime movers and alternators. The prime mover converts the input energy in the form of mechanical energy and it is used to rotate an alternator. This alternator converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy.

Review
The design is almost same as that of the older think pads. Athough it has a 6 - cell batter and an 8x-DVD burner, it weighs 3.5 lbs lesser than the others. The X301’s exterior is a more squarish shape and has a mettalic black finish. Just like X300, the dimensions are the same and the sides are also tapered.The dimensions are 12.5 x 9.1 x 0.9.
The thinkpad has a lower performance when compared with it’s graphic tests.
The ThinkPad X301 has achieved a score of 3157 in the PCMark Vantage, which is 400 points higher than most ultraportables. It’s a great score, but still falls about 60 points shy of the Sony VAIO VGN-Z530N’s and almost 500 points shy of the Lenovo ThinkPad X200.

Gmail has recently launched the multiple panes system, which as per the name helps you to use simoltaneously any number of panes in Gmail instead of opening a new tab.This not only makes Gmail a lot more efficient, but also makes it unique from all other mail services present in the internet.
This mew system has really helped people who often sort their mails using Labels, which earlier used to size the whole window. But now, you can view and work with more than one mail at one time.
How to enable multi-pane system?
There are only 3 steps to activate this system
- First activate Gmail labs for your account.
- After scrolling down a while you will find an option called “Multiple Inboxes”. - Enable it.
- Then setup your panes by going to Gmail settngs and select “Multiple Inboxes”. Then make upto 5 panes. For creating a pane you will have to enter the label code like “label:books” through which you can create a list of messages that are tagged with the books label. But, the best feature is that you can also combine multiple panes into a single one.
